All of our beers are brewed one barrel at a time (they're even mashed in a barrel!), lending a distinct vintage quality to each batch. It also allows us to stretch our wings creatively, completely free of a production schedule.
All of our beers are produced using a variety of yeasts and bacteria. Our inspiration comes from the farmhouse brewing traditions of Europe, and brewers of funky, weird beers around the world.
Every one of our beers starts and finishes in oak barrels that previously held wine or various spirits. The oak and its previous inhabitant become a part of the flavour profile, and our mixed culture takes residency in the nooks and crannies.
Bottle conditioned beers to go
A saison brewed with Motueka hops and hibiscus, with lime juice added to the barrel. Refreshingly dry, with notes of cranberry, citrus, and sunny beaches. 5.3% ABV, 500 ml
Our golden sour ale, dry-hopped with Amarillo, with an addition of freshly squeezed Clementine juice! Beer meets brunch! 5% ABV, 500 ml
Our golden sour, "dry-beaned" with whole, fire-roasted Yirgacheffe coffee from Firebean Coffee Roasters. Bright and citrus-y, with a nutty/roasty note on the finish. 4.7% ABV, 500 ml

Wondering where to find Deep Dark Wood when the brewery is closed? Look for us on the shelves at Corked Whitehorse, Big Bear Donair, Whiskey Jack's, and Yukon government liquor stores (subject to availability). If you want to see DDW at your favourite establishment, have them contact us!
Stop by the brewery to pick up bottles to go (sorry, no onsite pours), or just to see our operation. All ages welcome!
